Prior to joining the Firm in August 2012, Mr. LaVine was an Analyst with the JP Morgan Healthcare Equity Research group, which he joined in 2012. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Mr. LaVine was an Analyst with the UBS Securities Healthcare Equity Research team from 2005 to 2012. Mr. LaVine earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bucknell University in 1999. Mr. LaVine is a CFA® charterholder.
Bena Shah
Director of Business Development
Prior to joining the firm in September 2015, Ms. Shah was head of marketing at OXO, a leading housewares company, from 2009 to 2014. Prior to OXO, Ms. Shah worked in marketing at Neutrogena Cosmetics from 2007 to 2009 and Estee Lauder from 2006 to 2007. She began her career in a general management role at Procter & Gamble from 2000 to 2004. Ms. Shah earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2006. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from New York University in 2000, where she was an NYU Scholar. Ms. Shah is Mr. Shah’s sister.
Julia Kononenko
Marketing Associate
Prior to re-joining March Altus in April 2019, Ms. Kononenko was in Operations and Finance at the National Kidney Registry, from 2017 - 2019. Prior to the National Kidney Registry, Ms. Kononenko was a Ballroom Dance Instructor with Arthur Murray from 2016 - 2017. Prior to Arthur Murray, Ms. Kononenko was an Administrative Assistant at March Altus from 2012 to 2016. Ms. Kononenko earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego in 2010, majoring in Biochemistry and French.
